Nili Ravi
- This breed is found in Sutlej valley in Ferozpur district of Punjab and in the Sahiwal district of Pakistan. (bred around Ravi river)
- Usually the colour is black with white marking on forehead, face, muzzle, legs and tail.
- The most desired character of the female is the possession of white markings.
- The head is elongate, bulging at top and depressed between eyes. The muzzle is fine.
- The frame is medium sized.
- The peculiarity of the breed is the wall eyes.
- The horns are small and coiled tightly. The neck is long, thin and fine.
- The milk yield is 1500-1850 kg per lactation and the inter calving period is 500-550 days.
- Age at first calving is 45-50 months.
निली रावी
- ही जात पंजाबमधील फिरोजपूर जिल्ह्यात सतलज नदीच्या खोऱ्यात आणि पाकिस्तानातील साहिवाल जिल्ह्यात आढळते. (मुळस्थान रावी नदीभोवती)
- शरिराचा रंग सहसा काळा असतो तर कपाळ, चेहरा, नाकपुड्या, तळपाय आणि शेपटीवर पांढर्‍या रंगाचे खुणा असते.
- शरिरावर पांढऱ्या खुणां हे मादीचे विशेष ओळख आहे.
- लांबलचक डोके, आहे, माथ्यावर फुगवटा आणि भोवयांच्या मध्ये उतार भाग असते. नाकपुड्या ठीक आहे.
- शरिर मध्यम आकाराचा आहे.
- या जातीचे वैशिष्ट्य म्हणजे कंचीदार डोळे.
- शिंगे लहान, वक्र आणि घट्ट पकड असते. मान लांब, पातळ आणि बारीक असते.
- दुग्धोत्पादन १५००-१८५० किलो प्रति वेत असते आणि आंतर विण्याचा कालावधी ५००-५५० दिवसांचा असतो.
- पहिले विण्याचे वय हे ४५-५० महिने असते.
