Apps and operator

This policy covers MAFSUMitra Dugdha (org.mafsu.pashushikshan.dairy), MAFSUMitra Goat (org.mafsu.pashushikshan.goat), MAFSUMitra Poultry (org.mafsu.pashushikshan.poultry), and MAFSUMitra Piggery (org.mafsu.pashushikshan.piggery), together with the connected services at https://pashushikshanmafsu.com.

The operator responsible for your personal information is Nagpur Veterinary College, High-Land Drive Road, Seminary Hills, Nagpur – 440006, Maharashtra, India. Telephone: 0712-2510883 / 0712-2511259. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to that operator. Privacy questions can be sent to Dr Landge at sariputlandge@gmail.com.

Account and profile information

You do not need to submit registration details to browse public content. When you register for an adult learner account, we collect your name, email address, mandatory mobile number, date of birth and authentication information to create and manage your learner account. Learner accounts are available only to people aged 18 years or older; date of birth is used to enforce this age limit and to protect account access. Email registration sends a one-time verification OTP to the email address, and the account is created only after that OTP is verified. Email registration still collects the mobile number but does not verify it in that flow. Mobile SMS OTP login and registration are currently on hold until an SMS provider is configured.

When you complete your profile, we receive information you enter, such as your certificate name, organisation, designation, address, district, state and postal code. We also receive a profile photo if you choose to upload one. These details support learner administration and certificate preparation. You should provide only information needed for the service. If you request password recovery, we send a one-time password reset code to your registered email address; we do not send passwords by email.

Learning activity and content you submit

We process course applications, module progress, PDF and video viewing progress, completion status, and assessment and certificate records where those features are used. These records support access to learning materials and course administration.

When you use the farm checklist, we store the farming sector, date, completed checks and any daily farm note you enter against your account. These records provide your recent checklist history and in-app reminders. Notification records and read status help display account updates. Farm notes are optional; avoid including unnecessary personal information or another person’s private details.

We receive forum questions, replies, expert enquiries, feedback and any attachments you submit through supported features. We use this content to operate discussions, deliver enquiries to experts, moderate misuse and respond to support requests. When you enrol in a paid course, we receive payment status, transaction references or proof of payment needed to administer that course. Paid courses accept bank transfer or cash. Course-payment records may include the payer’s name, amount, date, transaction reference, payment status and receipt or proof of payment. The receiving bank processes bank transfers under its own terms. Do not submit banking passwords or PINs with proof of payment.

Voice search and device permissions

When you activate voice search or voice typing, the microphone supplies speech to your device’s speech-recognition service. Depending on your device, provider and settings, audio may be sent to that provider’s servers for transcription. Recognised text is inserted into the app and may be sent to our service when searching or submitting a message.

You can type instead of using the microphone, stop voice input with the displayed control, and revoke microphone access in Android settings. MAFSUMitra does not require voice input to use text search. The current apps use the speech-recognition service on your device and send recognised text to our backend. The apps do not upload raw voice-search audio to our server. The device provider’s processing and retention depend on that provider and your settings.

When you select a profile photo, the app accesses the image you choose and uploads it for your profile. Device permission prompts depend on the Android version and the picker in use. Internet access connects the app to online learning and account services.

Public posts and expert enquiries

Forum content and the author information displayed with it can be viewed by people who have access to the forum. Expert enquiries marked public may also be visible to other users. Enquiries marked private are intended for authorised experts and administrators handling the request. Do not include passwords, identity-document numbers or another person’s private information in posts.

Shared posts may be copied or quoted by other users. Removing content from our service cannot remove copies independently made by others. This does not change how we handle deletion requests for information under our control.

Translation and service providers

We use Google Cloud Translation for automated translations of learning and forum content. Text being translated, including personal information you include in that text, may be transmitted to Google for this purpose. Original text and generated translations may be stored by our service. Translations can contain errors; use the original-text option where available.

Hostinger provides hosting for the connected website and backend. Authorised technical providers may process information needed to host, secure and maintain the service. Speech processing may involve the recognition provider configured on your device. External websites and media services that you open have their own privacy policies. OpenAI features are not currently implemented or active, and this service does not send user data to OpenAI. No SMS provider is currently integrated, and SMS OTP verification is disabled. Email OTP is used for email registration verification and password recovery. The email delivery service processes the destination email address and message content needed to deliver those emails. If we introduce new provider integrations that change how personal information is handled, we will update this policy and provide any required notice or consent process before that processing starts.

Personal information may be disclosed to authorised staff for the purposes above and where required by applicable law or a valid legal request. We do not display advertisements, use advertising or marketing analytics, sell personal information, or share it for advertising or marketing. This does not exclude the service-provider processing and user-selected public sharing described in this policy.

Provider information: Hostinger privacy policy; Google Cloud Translation data usage. Your device’s speech-recognition provider depends on the device and settings.

Online storage and security

Account and learning records are maintained through the connected online service. The app also stores session information and language preferences on the device; PDF or other media files may be cached temporarily for display. Using an online database does not mean the app stores nothing locally. Website sessions may use cookies.

The app is configured to communicate with its backend over HTTPS. Access to personal information is limited to authorised personnel and service providers. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Hosting, translation, email and device speech-recognition providers may process information in locations outside your country. Processing locations depend on the service and its configuration. Contact the privacy address below for information about the locations and arrangements relevant to your data.

Retention and account deletion

Your account, profile, learning records and submitted forum content remain in the active service while your account exists, unless removed earlier through supported features or moderation. Account deletion removes your profile, authentication tokens, database sessions, learning progress, assessment attempts, certificates, course applications, payment records, uploaded personal files, expert enquiries, farm checklist records, daily farm notes and personal notification records from the active service. We do not retain certificate, assessment or payment records in the active application after account deletion.

Farm checklist history displays today and the previous 14 days using Indian Standard Time. Older checklist records and notes are removed when the history cleanup process runs or when you save a new checklist entry for that account. This means an inactive account’s older records may remain until cleanup runs. Deleting your account also removes these records from the active application.

The four apps and website share one account. Deletion ends access across MAFSUMitra Dugdha, Goat, Poultry, Piggery and the PashuShikshan website. Uninstalling an app alone does not delete this online account.

To request deletion, open Profile → Delete account in an updated app, or visit the shared account deletion page. Confirm your current password and acknowledge the shared scope. The webpage also accepts your account email and password without reinstalling an app. If you cannot access your account, contact Dr Landge at sariputlandge@gmail.com for an ownership check. Never send your password by email.

Deletion runs automatically after identity confirmation. If uploaded files cannot all be removed immediately, access ends and the status page reports pending, not completion. Pending file removal is retried through the cleanup process. A pending task contains encrypted file locations until cleanup completes. A random status reference, without your name, email or account ID, is eligible for removal seven days after completion and is removed when the cleanup process runs. Keep your status link and contact support if it remains pending.

Your forum text and translations are removed. Structural placeholders with a shared anonymous author keep other people’s replies readable; they do not retain your original text or identity. Copies independently downloaded, quoted or posted by other people are outside our control. Banks may retain their own transaction records under their policies; deleting our course-payment record does not erase the bank’s records.

Deleting an account removes data from the active application. Hosting backups and server logs are managed separately and may retain copies beyond account deletion. Backup copies are held for recovery purposes and server logs for operation, troubleshooting and security; their retention depends on the hosting configuration and the provider’s applicable policies. Account deletion does not immediately erase these separate copies or records independently held by service providers. For information about retention periods, backup copies or the handling of a restoration, contact our privacy address. We will review deletion requests relating to data held on our behalf with the relevant provider.

Your choices and age restriction

You can update supported profile fields, choose whether to upload a photo, type instead of using voice input, and choose the available visibility setting for expert enquiries. For access, correction, deletion or privacy complaints, contact the privacy address above.

Everyone may browse public content. People of all ages, including children and teenagers under 18, may view educational content that is publicly available in the four MAFSUMitra apps and on the PashuShikshan website without registering or logging in. Public browsing does not provide access to private account information or features that require an account.

Only adults aged 18 years or older may register or use a learner account. Account features, such as course applications, saved learning progress, forum posting and replies, submitting expert enquiries, certificates and online farm checklist history, require an eligible adult account. People under 18 must not register, use someone else’s learner account or submit personal information through account forms.

Registration requires an accurate date of birth to check that the applicant is at least 18. Parent or guardian permission does not make a person under 18 eligible for a learner account. Public browsing remains available without registration.

If you believe an account belongs to a person under 18, contact sariputlandge@gmail.com so we can review it and arrange appropriate account closure and deletion. Public browsing may still involve technical information, website cookies or device speech-recognition processing as described elsewhere in this policy; browsing without an account does not mean that no information is processed.
