Kankrej
- It is otherwise called as Wadad or Waged, Wadhiar.
- Originated from Southeast Rann of Kutch of Gujarat and adjoining Rajasthan (Barmer and Jodhpur district).
- The horns are lyre-shaped.
- Colour of the animal varies from silver-grey to iron-grey or steel black.
- The gait of Kankrej is peculiar called as 1 ¼ paces (sawai chal).
- Kankrej is valued for fast, powerful, draught cattle. Useful in ploughing and carting.
- The cows are good milkers, yielding about 1400 kg per lactation.
कांक्रेज
- या जातीला वडद किंवा वागेड, वाधियार असे ही म्हणतात.
- उगमस्थान गुजरातच्या कच्छच्या आग्नेय रण आणि लगतच्या राजस्थान मध्ये (बाडमेर आणि जोधपूर जिल्हा).
- शिंगे वक्र आकाराची असतात.
- रंग चांदी-राखाडी ते लोखंडी-राखाडी किंवा काळा असू शकते.
- कांक्रेज विलक्षण ११/४ वेगाने चालू शकते, ज्याला ‘सवाई चाल’ म्हणतात.
- कांक्रेज हे जलद, शक्तिशाली आणि ओढकामासाठी मोलाचे आहे. नांगरणी व जुंपण्यासाठी उपयुक्त.
- गायी चांगल्या दुध देणाऱ्या आहेत, सुमारे १४०० किलो/वेत दुग्ध उत्पादन देतात.
