1. Found around Bargur hills in Bhavani taluka of Erode district.
2. Developed for work in uneven hilly terrains.
3. Bargur cattle are of brown colour with white markings. Some white or dark brown animal are also seen.
4. Animals are well built, compact and medium in size.
5. Known for their speed and endurance in trotting.
6. Cautious in behaviour and tends to remain away from strangers.

बारगुर

1. इरोड जिल्ह्यातील भवानी तालुक्यातील बारगुर टेकड्यांभोवती उगम.
2. खडकाळ डोंगराळ भागात कामासाठी उपयुक्त.
3. बारगुर गुरे तपकिरी रंगाची असून पांढऱ्या खुणा असतात. काहीमध्ये पांढरे किंवा गडद तपकिरी रंग देखील दिसतात.
4. बैल मजबूत, भरीव आणि मध्यम आकाराचे असतात.
5. शर्यतीत जुंपण्यास आणि त्यांच्या वेगाकरिता ओळखले जाते.
